Dear friends,

I was fortunate to attend and help produce the recent Humanity Unites Brilliance Actioning conference in Long Beach and I know many wanted to attend but could not make it.

Words are really quite inadequate to describe our experience. All I can do is hope that you get to participate and experience it yourself... soon

One of the participants wrote up this beautiful synopsis of our 5 days together.

We have been called out by master teacher and Social Artist Jean Houston to be the "Evokoters" - the mid-wives of the soul. More than just another "how to" session, we learned evolutionary practices for creating a world that works for everyone. Through archetypal embodiment, we were invited to be a part of the story and recognize the characters as ourselves. We scored our own music, dancing the dream awake, meeting our Inteleky (higher self) and allowing our brilliance to be received from it's reflection. Moving away of linear left brain into creative right brain expression, we used the language of Glasarania (Gibberish) to awaken our creativity and become the Sacred Actor and Holy Fool, discovering a whole new way of communicating and creating.

We have shaken off the "gunk" of ego with Dr. Sue Morter. We cried tears of joy when we felt the density dissolve, and the lightness of Unconditional Love flowing more freely inwards and outwards through the layers of our being. We have felt even the fear of death drop away when we really knew the indestructibility of the beings of love and light that we really are. We giggled when we saw that our challenges, like an obstacle course we have designed for ourselves, now allow us to become who we were born to be. We laughed when we knew that "it's hard, until it isn't"

And we have seen through the evolutionary eyes of Barbara Marx Hubbard, that we ARE the imaginal cells in the caterpillar that envisions the butterfly it will become. We have experienced, in spite of the old and difficult "evolutionary drivers", the hope and excitement of being among the early forms of a new species of human emerging that is moving, like the Universe itself, towards greater synergy and greater intelligence. And we were pleased to know that it's not that we are bad or wrong, but just mistaken. We have been using a faulty operating manual and we now have the opportunity to use a new one, in greater alignment with Truth.

And we have cried tears of grief with the "Angels in the Dust" film, confronting the worlds most unconscious, darkest shadow reflected in the AIDS crisis in Africa. And with Lynne Twist, Jack Canfield and the Pachamama Alliance we have squarely faced the environmental crisis facing our fragile planet. And we have felt the sadness of our own participation in the unconsciousness of our consumer culture. We have been humbled to see our own myopic focus on ourselves, while ignoring our roles as stewards of the earth. We have recommitted to living more responsibly as those planetary stewards. We have come through the darkness to see the light of what is possible for our planet and have seen the emerging vision of a world in balance and harmony. We have been called to being "hospice to the old", while being "midwife to the new", both requiring our loving attention. Later, we raised $280,000 for Pachamama with a generous $100,000 matching pledge from Jack Canfield. Wow!

We have celebrated the national launch of HUB in the US AND Canada with moving words from Charlie Gay and good news from Brandon Barnum. And we have danced until we were drenched in sweat, (especially Brandon). And spun and leaped and shook off the last remaining hard edges.

We learned from Feng Shui master Marie Diamond how important our working and living environment is in supporting our vision. And while action is important, more important is stating clearly what we want and asking for it, and then opening to receive.

Lastly, we learned from master learner Paul Scheele how our mind works and does not work to process and store information. We learned how the reptilian and mammalian minds work better when relaxed and content than when stressed out and fearful. And how the simple act of breathing can help. We found through a profound exercise in perception and refection, how easy it is to completely miss the beauty all around us and how equally easy it is to take it in when we stop and pay attention.

Throughout the event, we have known and felt our Oneness, not as a concept or metaphor but as the actual truth of our experience. We have looked into each others eyes and seen our own sweet divine selves smiling back at us. We have felt the inseparable connection of being individual cells in the body of God. We have held the hand of the being next to us and known that we were touching Spirit. And we have polished each others mirrors so that our brilliance is more clearly reflected in the world.

We have come to see that HUB is so much more than humanitarian aid or personal development. It is absolutely at the center (hub) of the multi-faceted 12 sided wheel that is allowing the new social and spiritual vehicle to roll down the road to the emerging New World. And as we develop, strengthen and lubricate that wheel, we will go faster and farther down that road. HUB will be a pivotal convergence of new thought and environmental and humanitarian efforts for the evolutionary leap into the next phase of the human journey. We can all be pleased and proud to be among the founding members and to be evangelists for the message of true hope and love and sustained abundance for all people that HUB represents.

Remember, there are two more amazing events coming up soon:
Awakening Your Brilliance August 15-17th in Long Beach, CA
Awakening Your Brilliance August 8-19th in MInneaplois, MN

Let me know if you or your friend wants to attend one of these events. Member price is $400, retail $500. If you can't afford it let me know. I have 3 tickets to give away. They go fast though. So, the earlier you register the better.

Love and blessings,

Good sentiments above, but is it relevant to point out that Raymond stands to become a millionaire from sales commissions if people buy into his enthusiasm? And is it relevant that the HUB scheme is mathematically unsustainable? That is, if he sold HUB memberships to 3 people today, and those 3 people each sold 3 memberships tomorrow, and those 9 each sold 3 memberships the next day, and so on (as is the model for this business), that in less than a month every human being in the world (including infants) would be a member? And that the last 5 billion of them would have no one to sell memberships to and would be quite upset?

Just asking.

29 Jun 2008 @ 05:51 by bushman : Hmm,
From what I can tell, it's not about making money from getting new members, its about becomeing a member so as you can make connections to make money from your own business, like lets say you have a company that makes solar pannels, by becoming a member you get easy access to people who might need solar pannels, etc. Its crazy to think that everyone on the planet would somehow become a member, since the majority has nothing to sell, the majority needs food and water, so in that sence people who can get the needed aid to those who need it will be paid to do it thru the memberships monthly payments of 99 bucks a month. Kind of the same way you pay condo dues and the HOA pays for the gardeners.

From what I can tell, it's about making money from getting new members--WHILE you're feeding the hungry, of course, and making nice networking connections for yourself. Read the prospectus laid right out there on the website. When it's set up that an individual can make $2 million+/year from commissions while the organization does the heavy lifting for you, who will be showing up to do the bulk of the selling? MLM people, that's who, and they will do it by presenting it as an "investment opportunity" in easy money with altruistic overtones. But the last 93% of people who ultimately join will make nothing on their investment because the market has been exhausted, which means that the people who sold them on the "investment opportunity" were raising false hopes (whether aware of it or not). This is the unethical underbelly of MLM.

Raymond, I get that you are a good guy who didn't think this through. Would you please?

1 Jul 2008 @ 18:53 by Raymond @72.173.38.98 : HUB Business Model and Vision
Lou, I hear everything your saying. HUB is a transparent company, thus there are no secrets. There are very few companies, if any, that give 80% of gross revenue to humanitarian aid and to those participating.

Our business structure allows an individual or an organization to generate sustainable revenue through both affiliate marketing and multi-level marketing, or someone can choose to become a member and have access to the HUB community without creating a sustainable flow of revenue; it’s up to them. So what’s your experience with network marketing or multi-level marketing? Is your dislike conceptual or experiential?

The Founders of HUB were very sensitive to this issue. They looked at every business model available that would allow HUB members to actively connect with each other, own a portion of the organization and still follow the spiritual principle of universal flow, and found the MLM model to be the best for producing the largest impact. So, the founders based HUB on the best model available (MLM) and then changed elements to better fit with our mission to be the HUB of humanitarian change through sustainable global giving. It’s quite a brilliant concept.

One of the key differences between our structure and a traditional MLM is that members are not required to sell a product to be a part of HUB. Sharing your passion and your giving can be enough. If this is what you choose, HUB supports you. In fact, we specifically designed our infrastructure to include Circles of Brilliance (mini-HUBs) you can use regularly to gain support and build teams to make your personal dreams come true. This is one reason why we say HUB is where humanitarians meet to change the world.

In sum, there are two ways to enter HUB: 1) become a member and have access to the HUB community (without working the MLM side); or 2) become a member and actively work to build the organization and create more monetary flow for you, HUB’s exponential giving, and the world at large.

If you choose to actively work the organization and build your HUB, you may find that it’s more fulfilling than traditional MLMs.

1. Unlike traditional MLMs, HUB does not require you or rely on selling a product to survive. If you choose to focus only on enrolling people who want to give to humanity, you will be very successful and very giving!
2. If you choose to sell HUB products (or product from other HUB members), you will be selling products specifically designed to contribute and make a positive change in the world.
3. You’ll always know your giving is efficiently going toward an important cause. By choosing a MLM structure, HUB is able to be transparent and efficient in giving. You will know where how much you personally contribute to humanity at every stage.
4. HUB’s vision for humanity is to move it from survival tosself empowermen to sustained abundance. We hold our company to the same standard. In doing so, we’ve designed our business structure to be self-sustaining. Every person who joins us will be giving globally, and through the HUB structure we will be receiving enough so that each can continue to give globally throughout time. This creates a natural flow that we call sustainable global giving. Think about it. If you are continually receiving enough to give back, there is no end to the possibility of our giving. In fact, the more you receive, the more you will be able to give.

The choices we made above are some of the reasons why global leaders like Nelson Mandela and key organizations like Feed The Children and Nourish The Children have partnered with HUB. We are the new model for sustainable business and humanitarian giving.

We know that together, we will create a united force that will deliver the economic engine needed to once and for all break the chains of poverty and solve humanity’s most pressing needs. The degree to which you participate is the degree to which you personally affect humanitarian change.

2 Jul 2008 @ 09:11 by Sharon Childers @76.93.200.255 : Lou and his comments
Lou may I point out that there have been many MLMs that have been around for 20, 30 and 40 years and still are reaching and teaching new people. Amway, Herballife, Shaklee, Nuskin, Cell Tech, Oxyfresh, Mannatech, Mellalueca, Mary Kay and Avon have been around and been recruiting for years and are still not saturating the market. HUB will create more good on this planet with a few hundred thousand members than any of these companies combined. We are not looking to recruit everyone, some people have no interest in building a business, they may just want to be part of our social network and benefit from our ongoing empowerment education or participate in one of our humanitarian impact projects or create their own. I don't see MYSPACE or any other social network having any issue with saturation. I think you are being very shortsighted and cynical. None of us are in HUB because we want to get rich and much as we want to enrich our lives and those we can support and empower. We have already made a huge impact and with people like you making this kinds of comments you are just making others question our intentions and keeping others from serving andcreating the emerging new paradigm. Raymond is just sharing his profound experience and enthusiasm for HUB, he is holding a vision for a better world so as the old saying goes, if you have nothing nice to say...
